AIO or All-in-Ones All-in-Ones are perhaps the most simple modern cloth nappy going around. They look just like a disposable and are just as easy to use. The absorbent layers are generally sewn into the nappy so there is no need for folding, making these sorts of nappies dad/grandparent/childcare proof. The only issue with all-in-ones is that they take longer to dry than other types of cloth nappy due to the fact that all the absorbancy is sewn in. They come in sized options (S,M,L) and one size options. Obviously you will get a much more trim fit with the sized options, but one size nappies are the most cost effective option as there is no need to buy bigger sized nappies as your baby grows out of them. Which option you choose comes down to personal preference. AI2 or All-in-Two’s All-in-two’s are similar to their all-in-one counterparts but the absorbent layers are removeable. This means they provide the same simplicity as an all-in-one but have a quicker drying time. Pocket Nappies Pocket Nappies are essentially a shell with a pocket that you can put the inserts/boosters inside. They are extremely versatile in that you can customise their absorbency according to your baby’s needs. If your child is a heavy wetter or to use the nappy overnight, simply add more boosting to the nappy. You can also use less boosting during the day to remove unnecessary bulk or if your child is a light wetter. Pocket nappies are a favourite due to their fast drying time. Bear Bottoms Exclusive Nappies come with the simplicity of an all-in-one, with the versatility of a pocket nappy. Our nappies come with 3 layers of super absorbent bamboo sewn in to the nappy, but also have a pocket, making them truly versatile. Our Everyday Nappies are true Pocket Nappies. Fitted Nappies Fitted nappies are made from absorbent materials such as Bamboo and Hemp and are not waterproof so require a cover. Both Bamboo and Hemp are super thirsty, making fitted nappies extremely absorbent, but this also means they have a much longer drying time. Fitted nappies are generally fastened with snaps and don’t require any folding. |
